Lady Panthers Roll Past Rushville, 56-36

The Jennings County Lady Panthers hosted the Rushville Lady Lions on Saturday afternoon in a non-conference matchup. Jennings County responded with a strong bounce-back effort, earning a 56-36 victory. The Lady Panthers came out strong, scoring 20 points in the opening quarter to build a 20-10 lead. Jennings County controlled the pace from there, maintaining a comfortable double-digit advantage throughout the game and heading into the break with a 33-18 lead. Jennings County showed no signs of slowing down after halftime, steadily extending its advantage and opening up a lead of more than 20 points in the third quarter. The Lady Panthers controlled the game on both ends of the floor, cruising to a 56-36 win. Mollie Ernstes led Jennings County with 21 points, while Etta Young followed with 16. Mookky Ratcliff led the way with 15 points. The Lady Panthers improved to 14-5 on the season. They will be back in action on Thursday, January 22, when they host the Lady Olympians of Columbus East High School. With a win, Jennings County will clinch a share of the HHC championship.
