Lady Panthers Roll Past BNL in HHC Clash, 55-37

The Jennings County Lady Panthers hosted the Lady Stars of Bedford North Lawrence High School in a marquee HHC conference matchup. Both teams entered the matchup 12-4 and 3-0 in conference play. Jennings County delivered a statement performance, defeating BNL 55–37. The first half was tightly contested, with Jennings County holding an 11–9 lead after the first quarter. Despite the close score, the Lady Panthers never relinquished the lead and went into halftime ahead 27–22, powered by Mollie Ernstes’ 15 first-half points. Jennings County turned up the intensity after halftime, breaking the game open by outscoring BNL 15–7 in the third quarter. The Lady Panthers carried that momentum into the fourth, continuing to pull away while locking in defensively. Jennings County limited the Lady Stars to just 15 points in the second half and closed out a convincing 55–37 victory. Mollie Ernstes once again fueled the surge, pouring in 16 points in the second half to lead the Panthers. Mollie Ernstes led the Panthers with a massive 31-point performance. Etta Young and Riley Byford also contributed strong outings, adding 10 and 9 points, respectively. Madisyn Johnson caught fire early, knocking down four three-pointers in the first quarter to help propel the Lady Panthers to the win. Johnson finished with 15 points, while Karmindy Lowman added 12, as both scored in double figures.
