Varsity vs Columbus North (58-49) Win The Jennings County Lady Panthers traveled to Columbus North High School on Tuesday night to face the Lady Bulldogs and delivered another impressive performance. Jennings County knocked off Columbus North, who entered the matchup with a 10–2 record, securing a 58–49 road victory in what was yet another statement win for the Lady Panthers. The first half was tightly contested. Jennings County entered the second quarter trailing 15–13, but an impressive defensive effort held Columbus North to just five points in the period, allowing the Lady Panthers to take a 22–20 lead into halftime. Jennings County found its offensive rhythm in the second half, scoring 18 points in both the third and fourth quarters. The Lady Panthers surged ahead to a 40–30 advantage entering the final period and never looked back, securing a 58–49 victory. The Lady Panthers were led in scoring by Mollie Ernstes, who poured in an impressive 31 points, including 22 in the second half. Etta Young also contributed a very efficient 18 points. Amilia Gresham led the way with nine points, knocking down three three-pointers in the third quarter. With the win, Jennings County improved to 10–2 on the season. The Lady Panthers will return to action on Saturday, December 27, at the Walt Raines Classic hosted by Franklin Community High School.
